Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Bancroft and surrounding areas.
These include Hastings Highlands, Denbigh, Kaladar, Bannockburn, and Bon Echo Park.
The hot and humid conditions are expected to start today, and last throughout the weekend.
Environment Canada wants us to watch for symptoms of heat illness, which include dizziness, fainting, vomiting, nausea, headaches, rapid breathing and heartbeat, and extreme thirst.
In the case of any of the symptoms, we’re being encouraged to move to a cooler place and drink plenty of liquids, ideally water.
