A third party has confirmed Hastings Highlands’ debt is just over $3-million.
A representative from Collins Barrow Chartered Professional Accountants provided the information to council yesterday in a draft financial statement.
The municipality’s reserves currently sit at just under $4.5-million.
Last year’s surplus has been moved into the municipality’s reserves.
