Hastings Highlands Council is lending its support to a request by two nearby municipalities over issues with firefighter calls.
North Frontenac and Addington Highlands are looking for more financial support from the province, as they continue to face the issue of firefighters responding to medical calls.
Earlier this week, Madawaska Valley Township Council chose to support both townships, but also added the underlying problem, the lack of funding for actual EMS needs to be addressed.
