The contract to repair a stretch of Highway 62 between Maynooth and Maple Leaf has been awarded to J & P Leveque Bros. Haulage Ltd.
Hastings Highlands council awarded the contract to the company at a cost of just over $145,000.
Operations Manager Adrian Tomasini explains what repairs are needed.
Tomasini says $300,000 was put aside for the project, meaning the town may have some extra money to do some more road repairs.
Tomasini says there is an aim to put some of the leftover funds back into the municipality’s reserves.
