Bancroft Council intends to acquire the town’s Railway Station on Station Street.
A special meeting saw council vote in favour of acquiring the building, with the intention of relocating the town’s municipal office into it.
There is no word yet on how much the town will spend to acquire the building, or what this will mean for the future of the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce, which currently occupies the building.
The town will release more information next Thursday.
