Bancroft Council is looking into amending the social media policy in its code of conduct.
The request to amend the policy comes from Councillor Charles Mullett, as part of his role as the Chair of the town’s Human Resource committee. Mullett says staff is concerned councillors are not adhering to the current policy, and explains one of the key areas that needs to be updated.
Mayor Bernice Jenkins tells Moose FM she believes the policy needs to be updated.
Council voted in favour of reviewing and expanding the policy to make it less ambiguous.
