Municipalities in Hastings and Prince Edward counties will be paying one per cent more this year for services from our health unit.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health says this equals out to just over $8,500.
The increase is to make sure the health unit can continue to provide services ranging from prenatal classes, to to vaccinations, to preventing childhood injuries.
The health unit says staff has worked to minimize the increase by making adjustments internally.
