The results are in as to whether or not Hastings Highlands residents think the municipality’s electoral system needs to be changed.
The survey had been put out in response to a request asking that council consider changing the electoral system from ward-by-ward to municipality-wide. The request was made to address imbalances within the ward system.
The municipality says it received 155 responses to the survey, which will be part of council’s agenda during its meeting today at the Hastings Highlands Centre starting at 9:00am.
