Hastings Highlands Council is asking staff to look into setting fines for illegal dumping in the municipality.
Councillor Tracy Hagar put forward the motion, and explains why.
Deputy Mayor Gregg Roberts has also put forward a motion to ask staff to review and update fines for those caught illegally parking in the municipality. Roberts explains what the issues in Hastings Highlands are.
Both say they will wait for staff to come back with a report on what fines are needed to address the issues.
