Local infrastructure project to get provincial funding boosts

The province has announced it will invest into a number of infrastructure projects in the North Hastings area.

The province says you’ll see more than 250 projects across Ontario starting this year, including:

– Equipping the Bancroft area’s Patrol Yard with LED lighting.

– Paving a six kilometre stretch of road from the Hastings/Haliburton Boundary to Highway 35. This includes drainage improvements, and repairs to bridges.

– Replacing and repairing culverts to improve drainage on Highway 62 from Bannockburn Road to Cleveland Road, and on Highway 7 from Madoc to Keene Road.

– Repairs to Cardiff’s water services to improve the town’s water supply.

– Repairs to Letterkenny Road in Brudenell, Lyndoch, and Raglan, Boulter Road in Carlow-Mayo, and North Steenburg Lake Road in Limerick.

The province has not announced how much money will be put towards each individual project, but that over $190-billion will be put towards these types of projects across Ontario over 13 years.
