Bancroft’s Acting Mayor Paul Jenkins recently returned from the Ontario Small Urban Municipalities conference.
The conference is part of AMO and it addresses the unique issues rural communities face when they serve a more urban role.
The talks cover services, infrastructure and how to develop strategies for growth.
Jenkins says the event the well-attended, with municipal leaders from across the province taking part.
It comes as Bancroft Councillor Mary Kavanaugh is set to chair a Community Development Committee with the goal of developing ideas and strategies for further growth.
