Highlands East is holding a hazardous waste collection day on Saturday.
This is a chance for Highlands East residents to get rid of everything from batteries, to medicine, light bulbs, fuel, paint, and pesticides.
The hazardous waste collection day is happening between 10:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday at the Tory Hill Landfill.
For residents that can’t make tomorrow’s hazardous waste collection day, another will be held at the Gooderham Transfer Station in August, and again at the Tory Hill Landfill in October.
Residents heading to these events are being reminded to bring their landfill disposal cards.
