Local Catholic school board approves 2017-2018 budget

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board says it’s approved a balanced budget for the 2017-2018 school year.

The board says the budget will add up to more than $163-million, and reflects the commitment to meeting the needs of students. Director of Education Jody DiRocco says the focus of the budget is to align resources to enhance program support to students, and on maintaining their achievements and well-being.

While there is only one school in Bancroft part of the board, it boasts over 11,000 students across its 16,000 square kilometre area.
