Hastings Highlands to host meeting about importance of protecting local waterways

Hastings Highlands residents are being invited to find out what they can do to help protect our local lakes and rivers.

A special Hastings Highlands council meeting will be held to talk about how development in our area can affect local waterways, and the importance they have to our communities and ecosystems.

Mayor Vivian Bloom says Watersheds Canada Executive Director Barbara King will let residents know about why it’s important to help.

Bloom says the Watersheds Canada Executive Director will be there to let residents know how they can help protect these waterways.

The special council meeting will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday at the Hastings Highlands Centre in Maynooth.
