Students at Bancroft’s York River Public School will be recognized today for their contributions to our natural resources.
The Bancroft and Area Stewardship Council says the students have been raising lake trout in their classrooms for the past few months. Now, the time has come to release those fish into Paudash Lake.
The students will start by touring the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery Tuesday at 11:00am, before releasing the fish at North Bay Beach around 1:30pm.
