A washout has shut down Highway 62 near the Eagles Nest Park.
Fire Chief Pat Hoover confirms a dam in the park broke, which has caused the washout.
Hoover says Emergency Services and town staff are on scene to control traffic and make repairs.
Northbound traffic is being redirected onto Snow Road, while southbound traffic is being sent to Maxwell Settlement Road.
As of 9:00am, Hoover says the road could be shut down for at least an hour.
