Province wants to meet Seniors’ needs by building new centres

The province has announced a plan to build 40 new seniors’ centres across Ontario.

The province says the goal of building these new Elderly Persons Centres is to meet the needs of Ontario’s growing seniors’ population and offer them social and recreational programming. The province says it will call on you to put forward proposals on where these new centres should be built in the fall.

They will join an existing network of 263 Elderly Persons Centres, including Anstruther Burleigh Chandos Senior Citizens Incorporated in Apsley and the Opeongo Seniors Centre in Barry’s Bay.
