Guests to Algonquin Park can take part in a number of Learn to Fish programs this weekend.
Ontario Parks says the two-hour classes will teach you how to rig, bait, and cast a fishing rod, how to fish safely and sustainably, and know how to identify and catch local species. Ontario Parks says it will provide all the equipment.
The program is free to visitors of the park, although you will have to pay for day-use access. You can take part in the Learn to Fish program in Algonquin Park tomorrow and Saturday at 10:00 and 1:00pm, and again on Sunday at 10:00am. If you can’t make it up to Algonquin, Silent Lake Provincial Park will also be hosting a Learn to Fish program on Tuesday, August 22nd, at 10:00am and 1:00pm.
