Collisions with deer continue to be a problem in the Bancroft area

The Bancroft OPP continues to report collisions on the road involving wildlife. Last week alone, police report there were four crashes involving deer on roads in the Bancroft area.

Constable Lisa Robson says it’s important for drivers to watch for signs on the road.

Robson says it’s also important to always be alert when driving, and think about whether or not something might pop-out of a ditch.

Robson also reminds drivers to watch for oncoming traffic, because if their headlights are flickering, that could mean there are animals nearby. She says it’s also important to wear your seatbelt and never be distracted behind the wheel.
