Project to promote importance of 911 signs set to roll out

A project to encourage everyone in Hastings County to have visible 911 signs put up on their properties launches tomorrow.

Farm 911: The Emily Project is set to launch to promote the importance of having these signs put up on all rural properties, even those which are vacant, to make it easier for emergency services to find them. That’s because first responders will have digital access to 911 location information, which will in turn result in shorter response times.

The goal of the project is to get people to acquire these signs, teach them how to contact emergency services efficiently, and encourage rural residents to use them.

The project will officially launch during the Hastings County Plowing Match and Farm Show in Trenton tomorrow.
