Prince-Edward Hastings MP Daryl Kramp is backing a proposed benefit for wounded and ill veterans. The Critical Injury Benefit would see that a tax-free grant of $70,000 is given to veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces who were injured or became sick after April 1, 2006. It’s meant to support military members from when they become injured or sick until their condition stabilizes. The grant would work with all other financial aid that applicants receive.
