The North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery wants to get local residents involved in fish management in their own backyard. That’s why it’s launching the new Adopt-A-Brook-Trout program in the Bancroft area. It’s your chance to adopt a fish for $20 each. In return, you’ll get a certificate of adoption, website access to monitor your fish and an invitation to the fish stocking day in June. You can adopt the fish online or in-person by completing an adoption form and giving it to a hatchery volunteer. The goal is to get 500 Brook Trout adopted. The public is also invited to the hatchery’s annual dinner and auction on July 4. For more details, click here.
