A bus driver strike could happen as early as Thursday.
The Student Transportation Services of Centre Ontario has been told by First Student that they got a 72 hour strike notice from the union. This impacts bus drivers working from the Bowmanville location.
Locally, STSCO services the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and the Peterborough Victoria Northumberland Clarington Catholic District School Board.
First student is negotiating with the union, saying it’s optimistic that there’ll be a deal. If there’s a strike, service to the affected routes will be stopped until further notice.
