Blue-green algae have been discovered in Belleville.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health says there are possibly dangerous levels of the algae at Meyers Pier on the Bay of Quinte. Signs are posted to warn the public.
Senior Public Health Inspector Andrew Landy says the algae occur naturally, but that you should still avoid drinking, cooking with or swimming in the water.
