A Haliburton man has been fined $3,250 for killing two black bears.
The ministry of natural resources says the first fine that man received was of $2,000 for killing a black bear during closed season. The second fine of $500 came for killing a second black bear in defense of his property without reporting it to the MNR. The third fine was of $750 for providing a false statement to a conservation officer during an investigation.
All the incidents happened in the Boughner road area.
