Event in Bancroft gets thousands of dollars from province

The province is giving an event in Bancroft over $7,000 to celebrate Ontario’s 150th anniversary.
The funding is going towards Canadian Stories Told by Canadians, which is happening from May 24th to August 17th.
The province says the funding is meant to create jobs, grow the economy, and enhance the event. This is one of over 300 festivals and events in Ontario to receive provincial funding.
