A71 year-old Ottawa man, reported “overdue on Thursday, was found dead in his car Friday afternoon north of Bancroft. Mr. Graydon Scott was headed to Midhurst, near Barrie, to visit his son last Thursday and when he did not arrive when expected his family reported him as “overdue” to police. Mr. Scott was pulled over by Bancroft OPP late on Thursday for speeding. The officer recognized Scott and reported his location to the detachment. Mr. Scott asked for directions to a hotel and after the officer obliged, Scott drove away. Police do not believe there was any foul play involved in the death of Mr. Scott and the coroner has taken over the investigation.
