Two people are dead after attempting to flee a police stop. A Killaloe OPP officer stopped a car on Highway 41 south of Renfrew on Thursday afternoon for speeding. When he came to the vehicle, the driver drove away. The officer followed the suspect for a short time but gave up the pursuit. Later in the afternoon the same vehicle was found crashed along Stone Road, in Adamston Bromley Township. The two occupants were killed. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been called in to investigate.
