The Knights of Columbus will be presenting Habitat for Humanity a $25,000 cheque this Wednesday, at their Annual General Meeting. The money comes from the annual Knights of Columbus FunFest held in in April, in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings. Habitat for Humanity is a not for profit housing program dedicated to the elimination of poverty housing, and has built 14 homes helping 15 families in Hastings and Prince Edward counties. A home was recently built in Bancroft for a local family. by building homes in partnership with families in need. Habitat is currently working on a build in Picton.
