Lakers complete trade with Excelsiors

The rights to 32 year-old goaltender Matt Vinc has been aquired by the The Peterborough Lakers from the Brampton Excelsiors. Vinc, a St. Catharine’s native, also plays for the National Lacrosse League’s Rochester Knighthawks, where he was twice named the NLL goaltender of the year, and won back to back Champions Cups in 2012, and in 2013. He is a winner of two Minto Cups, but is still looking for his first Mann Cup victory. With an abundance of forwards expected to try out for the Lakers this season, this move will help solidify the team in goal.
