Drug Bust in Faraday Nabs Three

Three area residents are facing a drug and weapons charges after police raided a home on Wednesday. Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, Community Drug Action Team, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit and the Bancroft OPP detachment used a warrant at a residence on Jackson Road in Faraday Township. Police seized marihuana and other drugs, a loaded handgun and a shot gun. As a result three suspects were arrested and charged.

Two suspects, a 19 year-old Faraday woman and a 23 year-old Bancroft man are charged with: Possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of hydromorphine for the purpose of trafficking.

The third suspect, a 22 year-old Faraday man faces charges of: Possession of a loaded restricted firearm, Two counts of Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Carrying a concealed weapon, Possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of hydromorphine for the purpose of trafficking, Failing to comply with an undertaking and Possession of property obtained by crime.
