Drug and weapon charges have been laid against a 25 year-old Tweed man after an early morning raid. On Wednesday Madoc OPP, along with Drug Enforcement Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team used a warrant to search an apartment on Victoria Street North in Tweed. Officers located and seized a small quantity of cocaine and marihuana and a pair of brass knuckles. The man living at the apartment was arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Unsafe Storage of a Firearm. He has a Belleville court date in July.
