The Great Place Awards are the highest form of recognition within Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding contributions by students, staff, volunteers and community partners. This year there were 19 nominations and nine Awards recipients were chosen, including two North Hastings area teachers, Kate Cockburn from the North Hastings High School and Gerarda Wagenmakers from Hermon Public School. The Awards will be presented tonight, in Belleville, at the public Board meeting.
