Peterborough Merit Precision Jr. “A” Lakers lost a close one 16-12 to Six Nations last night. The Junior Lakers next game is at home on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the Memorial Centre.

The Peterborough Lakers took revenge on the Brooklin Redmen last night at the Memorial Centre, winning14-10. This was the first meeting between the two since Brooklin knocked the Lakers out of Mann Cup contention last season, and the Lakers were set on avenging their loss. Tempers flared throughout the game, which was a close battle in goals, penalties and shots, with neither team willing to admit to any weaknesses. John Grant led the Lakers with nine points and was named the Pizza Factory Player of the Game. The Lakers are in Brampton on Sunday night before returning home next Thursday, June 12th, to face the Oakville Rock
