Bancroft OPP has released a statement about the sudden death investigation begun on Tuesday. On Tuesday June 3rd, officers responded to a call about a man lying on the ground on Bridge Street West, in Bancroft. They discovered a deceased man. The man has been identified as 58 year-old Danny McLay of Bancroft. A post mortem examination was conducted, but further testing is required to determine the cause of his death. Although foul play is not suspected at this time, police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone who may have information to call Bancroft OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
