The fire ban in Algonquin Park is over. The ban was lifted late yesterday morning allowing campers to once again to enjoy campfires in the organized and back country sites. The Park received over 34 millimetres of rain over the weekend.
However, people planning on a trip to the park are cautioned to be careful with campfires, never leave them unattended and only have fires in designates areas.
