A collision on Highway 17 early Monday morning resulted in a section of the highway being closed much of the day. Renfrew OPP closed Highway 17 between Gillian Road and O’Brien Road while they investigated the crash. Police report that a west bound tractor trailer and an east bound SUV collided and both drivers suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to an Ottawa hospital. There were no other people in the vehicles at the time of the crash.
