A local hockey player is now a Wildcat.
Tori Howran has been announced as one of seven players to join the University of New Hampshire’s Wildcat roster during the upcoming hockey season.
Head Coach Hilary Witt says Howran and the other new players will bring skill, speed and depth to the team, and there will be a lot expected from them right from the start.
Howran won gold for Ontario during the 2015 National Under 18 Women’s Championship, and silver during the 2016 IIHF Under 18 Women’s World Championships in January.
Howran and the Wildcats will be taking on her former team, the Whitby Jr. Wolves, during an exhibition game on September 23rd. The Wildcat season opener will be held on October 1st.
