RBC Economics says Ontario’s economy to grow in 2014

According to the latest RBC Economics Provincial Outlook, the province is still on track for accelerated growth in 2014. The slow start to the year prompted RBC to reduce its forecast slightly to 2.3 per cent, down from the 2.5 per cent previously forecasted. However, RBC says the revised rate is still a notable improvement from the 1.3 per cent growth in 2013. Craig Wright, senior vice-president and chief economist for RBC says the province should benefit from a strengthening U.S. economy and more competitive Canadian dollar.
