A stay a cottage has resulted in one man being charged. On Saturday evening, a couple, and some friends, were staying at a cottage in Havelock, when the 23 year-old woman and 25 year-old man got into an argument that developed into an assault against the woman. The accused fled the cottage when the others tried to intervene. He then tried to steal a neighbour’s car, but was confronted by the owner. After their investigation, OPP charged the suspect with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of Weapons Dangerous, Uttering Death Threats, Theft over $5000 and Theft Under $5000. No names will be released because of the nature of the offence.
