Although there were no fireworks this Canada Day in Bancroft, there was a lot of celebrating in Millennium Park. Organizer Tracy McGibbon had the day well planned with children’s activities, musical entertainment, food and merchandise vendors and with the donation of a few Bancroft Council members, some excellent free cake. The rain did not dampen the spirits of those in the park, Children and adults frolicked in the water, and all dried off when the sun did come out and the temperatures rose. McGibbon told the Moose that there will be efforts made to have fireworks next year.
