It was a busy Canada Day Weekend for Bancroft OPP patrolling roads, waterways and trails. Thankfully, police are not reporting any fatalities in our area, but there were a number of serious driving infractions. Bancroft officers dealt with 33 speeding charges, one Racing Charge, four Seat belt charges, four hazardous moving violations, two distracted driving charges, one Automobile Insurance Act Charge, three Liquor Act Charges and 11 other Highway Traffic Act (HTA) Charges. Additionally, they charged one person with impaired.
