The third annual Wheels, Water and Wings weekend starts today. Three days of excitement and fun for all. Tonight will see the downtown street closed from 5:00 until 11:00 p.m., as classic and antique cars fill the street for viewing. Freddy Vette and the Flames will provide live Rock’n’Roll music during the evening as well.
Saturday features the “Hot on Hastings Street Sale” with a Caribbean theme. Again the main street will be closed, this time from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Music will be provided by the Northern Lights Steel Orchestra during the afternoon and the evening’s music is a country theme courtesy of Montana Sky.
Bancroft Community Transit and Youth in Action will sponsor the “Amazing York River Race” on Saturday afternoon, and RE/MAX along with Horn Dawgs BBQ, are sponsoring the Amateur Rib Contest.
Finally, on Sunday morning the Bancroft Flying Club hosts its annual Fly-in Pancake Breakfast.
A mid-way by Robertson Amusements runs from Friday through Sunday.
