Speeding Results in Numerous Charges

Speeding and drinking made for a bunch of charges. A 48 year-old man from Algonquin Highlands will have some explaining to do to a judge in August after leading police in a high speed chase. A Haliburton OPP officer tried to get a speeder to pull over after being clocked d at 110 km/hr. in an 80 zone, but the suspect drove of at speeds reaching 160 km/hr. The suspect vehicle eventually stopped in a driveway of a private home and the pursuing officer was able to arrest the driver. The man deriving was discovered to have been drinking. He now faces charges of Flight from Police, Dangerous Driving and Failure to comply with a Probation Order along with a 3-Day Drivers Licence Suspension. He will be in a Minden court in August to answer to the charges.
