A young Bancroft girl is lucky to have escaped with only minor injuries after being struck by a car in a hit and run, Bancroft OPP say that late Tuesday morning, the 16 year-old victim stepped out onto Highway 62 where it passes through Maynooth, and was hit by a red Mazda which did not stop, but drove off. Police are asking anyone who may have information on the hit and run, to please call them or Crime Stoppers.
