It’s official; Bridge Street Bridge is now open. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor cut ribbons at either end of the bridge yesterday morning in a symbolic gesture. Much praise was given to those who engineered, worked on and supported the reconstruction of the bridge. The merchants and businesses along Bridge Street, who endured three months of their street being closed, were recognized for their creative methods of stimulating pedestrian traffic in the area during that time.
