Eagle’s Nest Park project gets federal funding

The federal government will be helping with a project to improve Bancroft’s Eagle’s Nest Park.

The project has received a Canada 150 grant worth over $67,000, which will be used to enhance the trails, promote the park, increase its online presence, and celebrate Algonquin Culture.

Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says the project fits all the criteria for a Canada 150 grant.

The town of Bancroft will be putting $7,000 towards the projects, along with a $3,000 donation from the Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred and $150 from the local Lions Club.

A grand opening ceremony is expected to be held in October.
