The OPP will be conducting marine patrols again this weekend, checking vessels for safety compliance and alcohol. You are reminded that having the proper safety equipment in your vessel is required by law as well as a proper certified life jacket for each person on board. Boaters caught drinking and boating in Ontario face similar consequences to drinking and driving. This includes power boats, canoes, kayaks, sailboats and personal watercraft.
