After a four year absence, the Terry Fox Run returns to Bancroft this fall. The Run will begin and end at Millennium Park, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Participants can walk, run, bike a well-marked 5 or 10 kilometre route. A map, along with signs and Marshalls will direct participants. There are no major road crossings, and washrooms at Millennium Park, Riverside Park and at Rivers Edge Golf Course. Refreshments will be available at Millennium Park, Rivers Edge Golf Course and at the “Y” Road turn. There are no entry fees or minimum donations. Monies raised are through pledges and/or donations. Individuals or Teams can pick up their pledge sheets at the Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce, Vance Motors, Bancroft Foodland, Apsley Foodland or the Maynooth General Store, or use the online pledge sheet (terryfox.org). The principles of this event are based on Terry Fox’s vision: a non-competitive, all inclusive, volunteer led and supported event. There are no entry fees or minimum donations.
