A hit and run incident at the Sandbanks Provincial Park has resulted in a number of charges against a 38 year-old Quinte West man. Last Wednesday a car hit another from behind. The two drivers got into an argument over the accident and the victim went back to his car to call police while the other drove off. OPP officers located and stopped the accused a short time later. Police discovered the suspect had been drinking. As a result he is now facing charges of Driving While Impaired, Driving with a blood/alcohol level over 80, Uttering Threats, Assault with a Weapon, Careless Driving and Failing to Remain at the scene of an accident.
